A Little Rubbish

Blah… Blah… Blah…Blah…

Wondering why I started my post this way???  Well, I have nothing to say. I am getting completely bored at home. Friends are not here yet. I think IIITians are the first to get out of their college. I have tried so many games since the start of vacations that I do not feel like touching my laptop right now. Worse, I haven’t read a single book for the book reading assignment and there is the least chance that I will find it on the net. Meanwhile, I have got myself an unlimited GPRS plan so that I can stay connected to my friends (U can find all of them either at Orkut or GTalk. Man my batch is crazy about Orkut! ). Well, that reminds me, since I am outta college and got an unlimited plan….that means no restriction on torrents and Rapidshare.  Yoohooo !

P.S.:-  Can somebody send me book reports for the assignment ? Plz…. !!!

Prince of Persia : Warrior Within

3 05 2007

I am sure there would be lot of blogs, reviews etc. on the web praising this game but only a few speaking bad about it. So I thought why not I write one. After all, no game is perfect and this game does deserve some criticism. I am not trying to write different but just pointing out some things which some reviews by “esteemed” gamers have left out. Let’s start with bugs. Have you ever tried killing bad guys and then immediately saving the game. Well, on next load you will find that the bad guys are still there and you have to fight them again. And what’s the solution for this? Simply move out of the room where save fountain and bad guys were and then come again. Ubisoft needs to check such technical bugs. And every player atleast once during the play faces the problem of corrupted savegames. What’s worse, not only last savegame gets corrupted, but it also corrupts some of the saves which were previously working fine. So you need to find one savegame which is not corrupted and then continue from there. This bug was also present in Prince of Persia I. Wonder why Ubisoft didn’t correct it ! Any answers, Ubi? Now let’s go to some bloopers. In one level, where Dahaka is chasing you, he throws his tentacles on you. When you view the tentacles from overlook view, they look as approaching the prince. But from the normal third person view, they just go from side-to-side and not towards prince. And in one room in the fortress, you have got 4 POP logos on wall, 3 alright, and one rotated by 90 degress to right. I don’t think Ubisoft has done it intentionally because it didn’t convey a thing regarding the game. The game has excellent gameplay, but it sometimes becomes frustrating to find the path. Map shown is the worst one I have ever seen in a game. It gives practically no information. But anyways, this game is much better than many titles available in the market. And while IIIT p2p a.k.a. DC is there , I need not worry about latest games. All are there, just a click away !  :)
